Terms and
Conditions
Welcome to the official website of the Capitol Hill Porchfest (the "Site"). Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using our website. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.The Event
Capitol Hill Porchfest is a community music festival scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. on October 10, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Site serves as an informational hub displaying musical acts, stages (porches), performance schedules, and musical genres. It also operates as a registration platform for individuals wishing to host a stage or perform as an artist or band.
2.User Data and Event Information
Event information is kept in the organizers’ database and published on the Site. By submitting registration forms to participate as a Host or Performer:
- You consent to your provided information (e.g., band name, genre, porch address, scheduled time) being aggregated, processed, and publicly displayed on the Site.
- You acknowledge that schedule times and stage assignments are subject to change, and that the organizers choose when schedule times and porch addresses are published. A Host may ask for their address to stay off the Site until the day of the Event.
- Personal contact details are handled as described in the Privacy notice and are never published.
- Registration forms must be completed by an adult (18 or older). Performers under 18 are registered by a parent, guardian or adult band leader, who agrees to these Terms on their behalf.
3.Host ("Porch") Responsibilities
Individuals registering their property as a stage ("Hosts") agree to the following:
- Hosts must possess the legal right to offer the property for use during the Event.
- Hosts are solely responsible for ensuring their property is safe, accessible, and in compliance with local Washington D.C. neighborhood regulations and noise ordinances during the specified hours (2:00 PM to 6:00 PM).
- Capitol Hill Porchfest organizers reserve the right to approve or deny any porch application at their sole discretion.
4.Artist and Band Responsibilities
Individuals or groups registering to perform ("Artists") agree to the following:
- Artists must adhere to their designated time slots within the 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM event window.
- Performances must be suitable for a public, family-friendly community environment.
- Registration does not guarantee a performance slot. Placements are based on availability, genre distribution, and host preferences.

When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or access without permission the Site or its underlying database.
- Submit false, misleading, or inappropriate information through the registration portals.
- Scrape, copy, or distribute the Site's content or participant data for commercial purposes without explicit permission.
